2019 Fort Lauderdale Air Show

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will star in this year’s Fort Lauderdale Air Show. The air show will be held on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 along Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The performance lineup includes the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team and military jets, choreographed parachute teams, civilian aerobatic performers and skilled formation flight teams.

For the first time in seven years, the Blue Angels will perform at the Fort Lauderdale event. The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, stationed in Pensacola, Florida, showcases precision and teamwork. The pilots have flown in more than 450 air shows around the world, but are always honored to perform near their hometown.

G Marine has been a proud supporter of the Fort Lauderdale Air Show since 2012. The event brings together many local departments. It’s presented by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, together with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Jacksonville Army Corps of Engineers, in keeping with FAA regulations. We are surely looking forward to 2019 being the biggest year to date.

Yachters will be happy to know that the U.S. Coast Guard has set up a Safety Zone for the Fort Lauderdale Air Show. The intended purpose is to safeguard the aircraft which will pass through the performance area and to protect the coral reef along the coast from anchor damage. On May 4th and 5th, the edges of the Safety Zone will be patrolled and enforced by the local U.S. Coast Guard, Broward County Sheriff and Fort Lauderdale Police force.

Yachts are allowed to drop anchor and view the Fort Lauderdale Air Show from the eastern side of the defined Safety Zone. This area is only about one mile from the center of the performance area. In fact, it stretches along four miles parallel to the flight path.

G Marine luxury yacht brokerage continues to be an active sponsor of the Fort Lauderdale Air Show. Join us for a great time this year!
